Carew Court

We have successfully designed a development of six flats on a site in Beckenham, set

back from a residential street behind a parade of shops and next to a tramline.

Contrasting brickwork and roof detailing echoes the vernacular of the area. The site is

adjacent to a tramway embankment and the design needed to take account of the changes

in level between the site and platforms and the fact that people could be passing very

close to the building. Soft landscaping around the building and photovoltaic panels on

the roof enable the proposed development to be as sustainable as possible.
