Fingal Street #1

We have now worked on five projects in one street in Greenwich and while the houses

are structurally identical, each project has offered unique design challenges.

In this case the client wanted a side extension to enlarge their kitchen but did not want

to lose light into the dining room above, so we designed a glazed window box over a

recessed window seat that allows the same amount of natural light into the house as

the window previously did. The space under the window seat provides a cupboard that

hides the washing machine. This extension also has a green roof enhancing its

sustainable credentials and retaining local biodiversity.
