Antwerp House

Three storeys are proposed to be added to an office and retail building in the jewellery

district of Hatton Garden to provide an improved working environment for retail use,

office space and workshop and three new flats on the top four storeys culminating in

a maisonette overlooking the street.

The conservation area setting encouraged a high level of design quality being both

sympathetic with the historic environment and modern at the same time. The project

provided an opportunity to research the local area and its building typologies and then

to reinterpret local details and proportions in the proposed solution.
